Confronting increasing global population and greater energy demands
Y10 students from Manor Lakes P-12 College spent an enjoyable and informative day at Ecolinc, the specialist Science Centre at Bacchus Marsh on 24 June.
Federation University students led the activities, enthusiastically engaging with school students and sharing their insights into what life at university is like.
The Manor Lakes students were challenged to think about serious global issues - increasing population and greater energy demands from the world around them, what these mean to their own life, and how science can address some of these challenges.
They also got hands-on in the Lab, taking on roles as a pharmacist, analytic chemist and science communicator.
