Science and Wellbeing: Aspirin and Vaccines 


Ever thought about how vaccines work in the fight against disease?

Ever wondered about the ingredients in the medications we take and how they actually affect us? 

How do you become a scientist?

Can you believe everything you hear in the media when it comes to science?

In this full-day event brought to you by LEAP into...Science and hosted by Ecolinc Science and Technology Innovations Centre, your students will discover how science works to improve and maintain people's health and well-being and about good science communication, while learning about the science profession and higher education.


Your students will enjoy a presentation about medical science professions, as well as two different-themed workshop activities, where they will:

• explore how science is used to create and test vaccines

• see how pharmacology is used to work out the concentration of an active drug
